ABOUT ME

As a psychiatrist, my approach is deeply rooted in understanding the complexities of the human experience. I integrate psychodynamic, psychoanalytic, and depth psychology techniques to explore the conscious and unconscious processes that influence emotions, behaviors, and personal relationships. This approach allows us to delve beyond symptoms to uncover deeper patterns shaping your life. I combine these techniques with cutting edge evidence-based treatments, as well as complementary and alternative medicines to create a holistic care plan tailored just for you. I strive to create an environment where you feel understood and supported, while working to catalyze meaningful change through a variety of psychotherapeutic and pharmacologic techniques. Whether addressing anxiety, depression, ADHD, or major life transitions: I am committed to helping you navigate the challenges that life inevitably brings with clarity, insight, and purpose.

I have worked in mental health for over 18 years in a variety of diverse roles and settings. My journey began with a degree in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University, followed by clinical experience as a mental health aide at Tucker Pavilion Psychiatric Hospital and as an Assertive Community Treatment Team case manager for underserved populations in Washington, D.C. while at Community Connections. I then completed medical school at George Washington University, and am now a third year psychiatry resident. Throughout my training and clinical work I have received honors and recognition such as the Navdeep S. Kang Award for Excellence and Service as well as accolades for medical education. I am committed to compassionate, patient-centered care that blends psychotherapy with the most up-to-date evidence-based psychiatric treatments to ensure the highest quality care possible in whatever challenges you are currently facing. My training has prepared me to treat a wide range of conditions including: Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, and Schizophrenia.

Outside of work, I enjoy composing electronic music, running, hiking, and cycling.

I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward mental wellness, helping you face life’s challenges with clarity, insight, and purpose.
